Outlet shopping is now live at The O2
On opening weekend thousands of shoppers flocked to the world famous tent to get a glimpse of what the luxury brands have to offer. With an action-packed programme including an official opening ceremony, glitzy launch party, live music and fantastic offers and giveaways from brands; the first people to experience ICON Outlet had a truly star-studded experience of the capital city’s hottest new shopping destination.
The opening celebrations began on Thursday 18 October, with a grand ceremony at the entrance to ICON Outlet. Attended by Rajesh Agrawal, Deputy Mayor of London for Business, and senior representatives from AEG and Crosstree, the curtain was dropped and VIP guests and O2 customers were the first to set foot in ICON Outlet, courtesy of Priority.
That evening, the great and the good of London’s style scene descended for an evening of shopping and the VIP launch party in Ny-Lon Lounge Bar at The O2. With music from DJ, Model and TV presenter, Vogue Williams, the party was attended by social influencers including Nicola Hughes and Liv Bentley.
The doors opened officially on the morning of Saturday 20 October, and thousands of shoppers headed for ICON Outlet to look around, shop, and to make the most of the exclusive brand activations, offers and free gifts available only on opening weekend. For the first time ever, visitors to The O2 are able to walk the full circumference of the giant tent, as they shop.
This opening marks the completion of the first phase of ICON Outlet, and when the second phase opens next spring, ICON Outlet will consist of 80+ stores and a multitude of restaurants, cafés, and bars.
Whilst the outlet concept is common across continental Europe and the US, in the UK, they are usually found outside of major city centres. For the first time, ICON Outlet brings luxury brands at accessible outlet prices, to London.
Just some of the luxury brands that are currently open for business at ICON Outlet include; Joseph Cheaney & Sons, Aspinal of London, GANT, James Lakeland, Hobbs, Kurt Geiger, G-STAR Raw, Ted Baker, Guess, Jack Wills, Levi’s, Pepe Jeans London, Phase Eight, Cath Kidston, Gap, The Cosmetics Company Store, Lindt and Clarks. For a full list, and to plan your shopping trip, visit the shop page on the website.
And if that’s not enough, there are a range of experience-led services, including hands-free shopping, home delivery, and gift cards for your loved ones. Check out the services page for more information.
The venue offers the added draw of world-class live entertainment, countless dining out opportunities, cinema, bowling, and now the new Oxygen Freejumping trampoline park. Developed to serve local residents, current visitors to The O2, city workers and London’s tourists, it’s a mere 15-minutes from central London and is served by the Jubilee Line, MBNA Thames Clippers and the Emirates Air Line.
